Goldmund's latest masterpiece is a speaker you could hang in a gallery. The Apologue Pinel et Pinel x Kongo is an ultra-limited series of only 20 pairs, and a one-of-a-kind collaboration that pairs Goldmund's acoustic precision with two partners from outside audio: the luxury house Pinel et Pinel and contemporary artist Cyril Kongo.
The trunk maker and the artist
Founded by Fred Pinel, the French house Pinel et Pinel has built its reputation by reimagining bespoke trunks and luxury leather goods. Known for imaginative designs and unparalleled craftsmanship, every Pinel et Pinel piece is both functional and deeply artistic. Here they bring a haute couture touch: meticulously stitched leather panels and a trunk-maker's finesse that turn the speakers into timeless sculptures.
Cyril Kongo, an internationally acclaimed artist, has bridged the worlds of graffiti and luxury design through collaborations with iconic houses like Hermès and Richard Mille. His art fills the speakers with vibrant color and urban elegance, a statement that speaks to modernity and tradition at once. Every leather panel is painted by Kongo himself, so no two are alike, and each speaker bears his signature style.

A legend, reborn
The Apologue has a story of its own. Goldmund first introduced it in 1987. Italian artist Claudio Rotta Loria conceived it, and the Museum of Modern Art in New York celebrated its design. The new edition keeps that shape and adds everything Goldmund has learned since. It is now an active six-way speaker with 5200W of Goldmund Telos amplification per pair. Inside, DSP (digital signal processing) and Goldmund's Leonardo phase distortion correction work toward the company's goal: recorded music that feels like a live performance.
The signal can travel wirelessly, so the pair can stand free in a room with nothing attached but power. That's what lets them work as true sculptural art pieces.
The Apologue is made for people who collect art as much as for people who love music.
Goldmund was founded in Geneva in 1978. Download the Apologue brochure (PDF), discover the Apologue at goldmund.com, explore Goldmund at Rhythm, and find a Rhythm dealer to ask about one of the 20 pairs.
