There's nothing entry-level about Marten's entry-level speaker but the price. Capital Audio Fest (CAF) 2024 proved it.
We spent the show in the Marten room, and it was incredible to see the enthusiasm from attendees. Now that the press has had its say, we wanted to share.
Two speakers, both Class A
Going in, the room was set to feature either the Marten Parker Trio Diamond or the Oscar Duo. These incredible speakers were both rated Class A in Stereophile's Recommended Components 2024. The Oscar Duo got the nod.
"Best Sound for the Money"
The Absolute Sound (TAS) gave the Oscar Duo system its "Best Sound for the Money" award, based on the impressions of reviewer Alan Taffel, who heard "a gorgeously lush sound that didn't lack for inner detail." Read his CAF 2024 report at TAS.
The Audiophile Junkie also had some great things to say about the Oscar Duo. He told anyone shopping for stand-mount speakers under $10,000 to put it on their shortlist, and summed it up simply: "I love those Martens!" Watch him in Best of Capital Audio Fest 2024 and "Very Nice Surprise Under $10k".
Hear why
Marten has built loudspeakers in Gothenburg, Sweden, since 1998, and the Oscar Duo carries that pedigree into a speaker that fits on a stand. Hear why: explore Marten at Rhythm and find a Rhythm dealer near you.
