AXPONA (Audio Expo North America) 2024 was our first show as Rhythm. We couldn't be more proud of how the rooms sounded, or of how many products made their North American debut with us.

Our first room was built around Goldmund's new Telos 690 integrated amplifier, driving Tannoy's Stirling III LZ Special Edition loudspeakers with Tannoy SuperTweeters. Talk about making magic together! The Telos 690 and the Tannoys made an immersive soundstage with weight, air and authority.

On the analog side, Goldmund's Mimesis PH3.8 NextGen phono preamplifier was fed by the highest-performance Garrard turntable the world has ever seen, and perhaps the most beautiful: the first production unit of the new Garrard 301 Advanced, with an SME Series V-12 tonearm and a plinth made of an exotic polymer never before used in audio. Kat Ourlian of SME and Garrard was on hand to play records, and Ken Micallef of Stereophile wrote that she “had Room 660 rocking from the first needle-drop with selections from Morphine, War, Jaco Pastorius (playing Charlie Parker's ‘Donna Lee’), and Massive Attack (‘Angel’).” A Lumin network player handled streaming.

Next door, Goldmund's new wireless Asteria loudspeakers showed what that category can do. Each Asteria has 600 watts of Goldmund's Telos amplification built in, and it uses Goldmund's Leonardo Time Correction through digital signal processing (DSP). Music streamed from Qobuz through a Lumin streamer and Goldmund's Mimesis 11 Wireless Hub. Goldmund says the playlists covered jazz, classical, pop, rock, hip-hop and electronic music, along with whatever visitors asked for. Asteria played every genre with aplomb!
